Renogy Unveils Phoenix All-in-One Solar Powered Generator Briefcase

Do you do lots of work outside? How about camping? Unless you carry around a diesel generator, it’s tough to ensure you have electricity wherever you go. Enter Renogy’s Phoenix, a briefcase-sized portable energy source, that can juice up with the power of the sun.

The Phoenix combines a 16 Ah lithium-ion battery pack with a pair of monocrystalline solar panels. That big battery pack can recharge a GoPro 47 times, an iPhone 6S 32 times, a DSLR camera 25 times, or even a laptop up to 5 times.

The 12.8 pound briefcase has a variety of power outputs, including four USB ports (6A max), a 12VDC cigarette lighter output, two 12V DC connectors, and a 110 V AC power outlet.

Every 2.5 hours of sun exposure can provide 100 watts of recharge to each solar panel, while plugging the pack into an AC outlet will juice it up in just 5 hours, or 7.5 hours connected to your car. The Renogy…
